Description:
“Sleeping Bird” is a coffee table that gave a gentle reminder by flapping its wings while rubbing the user's hands when they drink too many cups of coffee. The plans envisaged the object as a playful pet that constantly bothers the user about excessive consumption. In addition,“Sleeping Bird” generates an open-ended ludic engagement and allows the functionality to flow naturally into the 'unexpected' playfulness in people’s minds, such as dancing with the coffee table.
